Want to get all kinds of useful current information about your students, including:

• Demographics (address)
• Contact information
• SDCS schools attended
• Current schedule of classes – as soon as the counselors change them!
• Current attendance records (by day and period)
• Transcripts
• Test results
• Programs (e.g. GATE, VEEP)
• Behaviors (suspensions)

Here’s how to do it! When you log onto Zangle TeacherConnection, click on the link marked Profile in the upper right hand corner of the window (under Log Out link):

This will start a new application window for Zangle Student Profile.

The drop-down menu of Available Students will list all students who have been enrolled in your classes this school year, even if they are no longer enrolled in your class. (Once they leave the school district, their information will no longer appear.)

Once you select a student, you can view current information about the student under the View Selection drop-down menu:

Not all of the selections are active yet, but here’s a list of the ones that are as of 2/05:

• Demographics (including address and birthdate)
• Contact information
• SDCS schools attended
• Current schedule of classes – as soon as the counselors change them!
• Current attendance records (by day and period)
• Transcripts
• Test results
• Programs (e.g. GATE, VEEP)
• Behaviors (suspensions)

For example, selecting Demographics will give information similar to this:

There’s so much you can do with the information we now have available. No more going through registration cards at the attendance office! Reduced trips to the counselor’s office for student information! You can find out what other classes a student is taking and who their teachers are to informally exchange progress information. Plus, you can check this information from any web browser, even from home – the information is not tied to any one computer.
